Herman Miller, USA commissioned Carolyn Carr and her husband, artist Michael Gibson, to create a site specific instillations of their works for the new Herman Miller, USA National Design Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Carr and Gibson are married artists, not unlike Charles sand Ray Eames; this was part of the inspiration behind Herman Miller commissioning the couple.
Carr's wall painting is titled Sugar Magnolia and measures 11 feet x 44 feet total for three conected walls.
Gibson’s wall painting is title Blue Buoy and measures 10 feet x 24 feet.
Completion date slated for January 26, 2007.
